The MPF’s Early Decision Fiscal Unit requested intervention in a home located in the San Nicolás neighborhood.
The Early Decision Fiscal Unit (UFDT), of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, received a complaint on Thursday, May 9, in which it was made known that a person would have a doge in a situation of abuse in their home. In turn, he provided photographs and video (where the poor condition in which the dog was found could be seen with the naked eye, in violation of the provisions of Law 14,346).
Due to the above, the Prosecutor’s Office asked the Directorate of Professional Support Animals (DAAP) to verify the health status of the bulldog in a home located in the San Nicolás de Leales neighborhood.
Continuing with the investigations, on Friday the 10th, the police personnel notified that “the dog was in a state of malnutrition, dehydrated and in poor hygienic conditions” so they proceeded to rescue and transfer it.
Through coordinated work with the Prosecutor’s Office, and the collaboration of rescuers, he received veterinary care and is today in the care of a responsible caregiver.
