A strong explosion occurred in a home located in the town of San Cristóbal, south of Bogotá, which left three people injured and a cat had to be rescued.

Firefighters from the Central and Restrepo stations, with support from the Technical Rescue and Urban Rescue Team, attended to the emergency and stabilized the home. The relief agencies reported that the three injured people were evaluated by the Ministry of Health and sent to a hospital.
Among the injured are two older adults, one of them is 92 years old and has burns on 70% of her body, according to the first report given to relatives.

“We are sweeping the homes surrounding the explosion where there is evidence of damage to walls and windows in more or less 7 or 8 homes. Based on this information we request personnel from the Idiger and Secretary of Social Integration. At the site, 3 elderly people were affected, of which 2 lived inside the house,” said Sergeant Enrique Ortiz, head of the Restrepo fire station.
