Yaguará is the first municipality in Huila to approve the Municipal Development Plan, Yaguará for All, which defines the goals that Mayor Lenin Trujillo and his team will meet in the period 2024-2027. The president thanked the Council for the unanimous approval of the project.

“With your generous participation you contributed to enriching the document that will positively impact Yaguará in the social and material components, with works and progress projects, with an investment in the four-year period of approximately 109 billion pesos,” he said.

The text defines the administration’s strategies to generate community development under the results-based management approach. And it is based on the government program presented and accepted by the majority of Jaguar residents.

The Development Plan is based on two main components: strategic and financial, of which the Multiannual Investment Plan is part. And it includes the independent chapter of Royalties, Peace and Territorial Health.

The strategic component is defined in four lines, as follows: Social Development for All; Economic and Sustainable Transformation; Environment as a Principle of Life and Efficient Governance. In addition, there are 18 associated investment sectors.

Main bets

Mayor Trujillo stated that among the main bets is economic development with a great focus on tourism and commerce, as drivers of the local economy. Adequacy of the tourist offer, providing adequate access conditions to those located in rural areas. And the start-up and operation of the Malecón on Betania.

And the construction of an Eco Tourist Park is proposed, a pioneer in the entire south of the country, “work will be done to solve the quality and continuity of the water service in the urban area. In improving competitiveness with the maintenance of rural roads. We will manage and co-finance to make fingerprint plaques and works of art, and the purchase of a yellow machinery kit to instantly serve the tertiary road network,” explained Lenin Trujillo.

And the construction of a new municipal building is contemplated, in co-financing with the national government, and a new station for the fire department. And the construction of new housing and housing improvements in the urban and rural areas of the municipality.
