According to Law Decree 1,110, the holiday for parents falls on a Sunday in June.
After the celebration of Mother’s Day last Sunday, many are already thinking about When is Father’s Day in Chile.
In that sense. and according to Law Decree 1,110, the festival falls on the third Sunday in June.
“The State recognizes that there are currently various days when citizens honor those loved ones who are an integral part of the family or that are closely linked to it and that most of these celebrations correspond to a spontaneous expression of the inhabitants of the national territory“, indicates the aforementioned law.
When is Father’s Day in Chile?
Father’s Day established in the Chilean legislature corresponds to 19th of June. However, the day can fit into a weekend to facilitate recreational activities for families.
That is why, for 2024, the festival to honor fathers in Chile is set for Sunday June 16.
Holidays 2024
Along with this, there are still other days that remind us of the importance that its protagonists have in the family.
These dates are:
- Elderly and Grandfather’s Day: October 15th.
- Children’s Day: October 16 (third Wednesday of the month).
- Teacher’s Day: December 10.
