He president Javier Milei He participated on Sunday morning in the Europa Viva 24 summit, organized by the far-right Vox party in Spain. There, he launched fierce criticism of “socialism,” which earned him applause from the right-wing audience present, and he directed another barb at the head of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, and ended by calling the wife of the Spanish leader “corrupt.”

In the midst of the controversy, Alberto Fernández made a post on his personal X account (formerly Twitter) and assured that “Spain has just called its ambassador in Buenos Aires for consultations and is analyzing removing her from the country.”

“This occurs after Milei’s public grievances against President Pedro Sánchez and his family that could only be explained by an emotional imbalance (which psychiatry should already analyze) and which is evidenced by his constant verbal violence,” said the former president about the mental health of the current president.

And he continued: “The link between Spain and our country has always been privileged. Due to the Argentine president’s diatribe, today he is at his worst moment. “This government’s foreign policy continues to isolate Argentina from the rest of the world, as it already did with Mexico, China, Colombia and Brazil.”

Fernández took advantage of the post to offer his solidarity and impact to Pedro Sánchez and his family: “As an Argentine I apologize to them for the inappropriate conduct of the person who exercises the presidency of my country.”
