The cost of tolls in the region: expensive in Río Negro, still a mystery for Neuquén

The law that the Legislature approved yesterday Neuquén finally did not include the reference on which the value of the toll in the province will be calculated. The original text had as a reference the price per liter of grade 3 diesel, price at the pump sold to the non-member public of the Neuquén city branch of the ACA on the 1st of each month.

The deputies modified it and left the value of the contribution to be determined “for each type of vehicle, category, time zone, weight of transported load and number of axlesthe Executive Branch being empowered to do so.

The government may also establish different categories of vehicles, for the purposes of determining the values differentials for cargo transportation and public transportation vehicles located in the province.

From the Ministry of Infrastructure, they clarified yesterday to Río Negro that the diesel parameter had been included as a reference “so that the increases are tied to something.” They indicated that now will end up defining the regulations.

In the case of Black riverthe law that was approved last week was defined with a unit of value equivalent to the price of grade 3 diesel at the ACA service station in Viedma, which today costs 1,195 pesos per liter.

The toll will be paid to travel through the Route 2 in the San Antonio Oeste area (it is the only route on which all vehicles will pay tolls, except those located in the municipalities of San Antonio Oeste and Sierra Grande); routes 6, 8, 65 (called Chica route) and 69. In the latter, individuals residing in the province are excepted.

The regulations establish a category for each vehicle. Thus, motorcycles must pay 25% of the unit and a car 100%. Buses will pay 50% for each axle, and trucks will pay 1,195 per axle.

Tolls in Río Negro, more expensive than those in AMBA

A comparison with tolls Panamericana and Western Accessin the AMBA, for example, shows that Much higher costs will be paid in the region.

A vehicle with up to two axles with a height of less than 2.10 meters will pay 600 pesos during rush hour, almost half of what it will cost in the province for a car. Trucks with three or four axles pay 1,800 pesos during peak hours if they are taller than 2.10 meters. On the Rio Negro routes, with four axles, a truck will pay 4,780 pesos. And up to 7,170 pesos with six.

The difference is also wide with Córdoba’s tolls, which have values ranging from 400 pesos to 3,200 maximum.
