The event was headed by the Minister of Health, Natividad Nassif, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Health of the province, Cesar Monti, and the director of the Comprehensive Mental Health Approach Center of the province, Néstor Medina.

It should be noted that this center provides care in a comprehensive and interdisciplinary manner, community-based and social inclusion, in coordination permanent with the first and second level of care, with a human rights perspective.

In this framework, Nassif highlighted the hard work carried out by all the staff of the Mental Health Center. “I know that each of you has put commitment and effort, but you have also put your capabilities into play and that fills us with pride.”

“In the province we have a governor who has a strategic view and the decision to allocate resources to achieve and maintain a public health system, with growth and investment in recent years. The people of Santiago del Estero must perceive that these decisions achieve well-being and improve access to quality care,” he noted.

In turn, Monti greeted all the institution’s staff and considered that it is necessary to “take a comprehensive look” at patients who need appropriate professional and emotional support in this type of comprehensive approach to mental health.

For his part, Medina reviewed the progress and activities carried out during these two years at the institution, recalling: “When we inaugurated this center we did so with the firm conviction that a present State makes a difference and has been the lighthouse that guides us. “It has driven us to work tirelessly to offer comprehensive, accessible and quality services to all people who need support for their mental health. During these two years we have implemented fundamental programs and policies that have had a significant impact on the province.”
