  • “Green and brown” are already serene; there will be no more problems

Cuauhtli Badillo came to the editorial office of The Sun of San Luis, punctual. He came from the area of The battery of an intense journey under the sun’s rays, at about 40 degrees Celsius and the first thing he did was hydrate himself and take a breath; These are the campaigns, intense, without privileges, of physical sacrifice and commitment to the people.

He is already a local deputy of the LXIII Legislature, where he arrived through the multi-member route in 2021, when his party, Morena, in San Luis Potosí did not do well at all. He did not win any majority, only multi-member positions in the State Congress, where he wants to be re-elected, but now, with direct votes.

He is going for the Seventh District and for at least 50 thousand votes, but he has his sights higher. “In these three years we have worked very closely with the citizens, but there are many pending issues. I raise my hand because we have the commitment to continue helping and the citizen support because we have already walked through the neighborhoods.”

His territories, where he leaves early every day in search of the vote, include La Pila, Terrero, Arroyos, La Cantera, a piece of the industrial zone, Arbolitos, Progreso, Simón Díaz, Santa Fe, Satélite, Residencial del Bosque , Valle Dorado, El Paseo, Industries. He has not visited them for a month and days, but for six years.

He lives in Ricardo B. Anaya and knows that the problem in that district is, first of all, the lack of drinking water, then the fact that there are no paved streets and then mobility. There is no public transportation in communities far from the urban area. And people only have to pay for a taxi or ask for a “raid”.

We talk to people, we inform, we create awarenessI tell you that we have to be a team, we have to move forward in a coordinated manner. In the State Congress we analyze, we discuss the taxes that must be translated into better municipal services, in greater areas of opportunity, work, sports, and recreational spaces.”

Cuauhtli Fernando Badillo Moreno pointed out that It is a great advantage to belong to Morena, which governs the country and has an ally in San Luis who is the governor.. “We are governed by a national project, in that project all the candidates of our movement are clear about what the objective is, to work for well-being, improve opportunities, improve spaces, work so that people in the sectors population, sexual diversity, people with disabilities, youth, boys, girls, adolescents, older adults, can develop their lives in the best way, that is our objective, to preserve human rights.”

What makes Cuauhtli Badillo different from the rest of the contenders?

“The people of Potosí are the ones who have the power in their hands, the power to decide what direction the country is going to take, what direction the State is going to take, what direction the district and the colonies of the seventh local district are going to take that we will have to take.” represent. What do we represent? We represent experience. Despite our young age, we have experience, we know which door to knock on and what better than the doors we knock on. They are acquaintances, they are friends, they are allies of the transformation, are colleagues with whom we have already worked before. We know the colonies first-hand, I know the needs, we have already worked hand in hand with the majority of the leadership of these colonies and there is experience, results and proven honesty.”

If the majority vote favors him, as he hopes it will, “we would continue working in the same way, establishing citizen participation; we promote the Neighborhood and Community Improvement Law, seeking that citizen participation is truly citizen participation, that citizens decide what the budget is going to be spent on. That is one of the issues for which I also want to ask for the vote to be able to continue working on this issue.”

“We are going to take the office out of here, from the first circle of the city, to take it to the different communities, to take it to streams. Now I come from Arroyos, we are going to take the office to collect the problems and bring them here and look for a possible solution and take it to the doors or windows that lead to them.”

From 2021 to date, things have changed. “The party entered into a renewal process, a process of new leadership, that a delegate, now a leader, now a candidate for the Senate, arrived, comrade Rita Rodríguez, with a different leadership than the one that had already been here in San Luis Potosí for six years. She urged a renewal. Because? Because we are clear that we have to strengthen the president of the Republic, we have to strengthen the movement.”

“We are the largest party in the country, We are the party in the presidency and we are the largest party in Latin America. We have a lot to do. Fortunately, we were able to coordinate, we were able to organize ourselves, the assemblies were held, we have new councilors, new councilors and in that dynamic we worked with the other political forces to be able to bring or put the best candidates with proven quality, with experience.

“In this election we are going to get very good numbers, it is the largest election in history. In the 2021 election we did not do well in quantitative terms, but, for example, in the State Congress, in terms of votes we had the second largest force with more than 200 thousand votes above Acción Nacional. Today we also want to materialize it physically in the majority deputies who are going to be in the State Congress. and we are going to strengthen it, because the national regeneration movement in San Luis Potosí is very strengthened, it has bases and it has a structure that is walking in the streets every day.”

Cuauhtli Badillo trusts that the fights between the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM) and Morena will no longer be repeated, “like in football, sometimes we get too passionate or I think sometimes they manage to cross a very discreet line, very small, in which violence already occurs. And that is thanks to passion, because each one has a very green or very cherry heart and one always wants to be ahead, one always wants to be appearing more. But we are clear that we are under a primary objective, which is transformation.”

To his potential voters, the young 34-year-old Morenista, who just turned 34 last Saturday, says, “citizens, young people, older people, housewives, workers have to go out and participate. We must not leave the opportunity to others who decide for Mexicans. I ask for your trust, I ask that we continue as a team as we do today to continue transforming the seventh district.”
