Fifteen athletes from the Castilla y León clubs participated in the second day of the Amazonas Program, which was held last Saturday at the Río Esgueva Specialized High Performance Center (CEAR) in Valladolid. A day of coexistence and training that, on this occasion, focused on swimming.

The participants have worked on both dry swimming and open water practice, preparing and learning for the triathlons that will be held this season.

After the days focused on cycling (April 21) and swimming (May 18), the initiative will be completed next Thursday, May 30, in the afternoon, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a closed action in the foot race with capacity for 20 athletes.

The Amazonas Program, launched by the Spanish Triathlon Federation together with the Modern Triathlon and Pentathlon Federation of Castilla y León, pursues the promotion of women’s triathlon and the promotion of talented young women in a comprehensive and transversal way.
