The organization confirmed in a statement that the Caribbean nation’s accession to this arbitrary list has political purposes and causes serious economic problems for the Cuban people.
He stressed that despite this, Cuba resists and is an example for the people who fight against imperialism.
The Committee agreed with the Havana Foreign Ministry that it is not enough for Washington to recognize Cuba’s full collaboration in the fight against terrorism, but rather it must go further and remove the Caribbean nation from the unjust list of states sponsoring Terrorism.
He also celebrated international solidarity around Cuba and its just demand for the good of its people.
In recent days, various Sri Lankan organizations joined this global demand against the aggressive policy of the United States against Cuba and to demand the withdrawal once and for all of the Caribbean nation from Washington’s unjust list.
In that sense, the Left Democratic Front of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Association also urged the current North American government to eliminate the inhuman measures it maintains against Cuba, of proven international rejection.
