In coordination between the First Level ESE and the departmental Health Secretary, the pilot training project was launched for 32 volunteer collaborators so that they can diagnose and treat malaria and provide basic care preparation for those affected.

This initiative of the Ministry of Health aims to have timely diagnoses in rural communities as well as prevent the spread of the transmitting mosquito. The pedagogy taught by the health entity aims to provide Volunteer Collaborators with the tools to contribute to the Ministry’s goal of stopping the presence of this disease in this region.

People will be trained in the theoretical and practical part and will be supervised by professional personnel from the Esa First Level Services Network.

And what do the volunteer collaborators think about the training they are receiving to be part of this pilot project? Marandua Noticias spoke with two of the women from different areas of the municipality, from Cachicamo and the Gualandayes Bajo village, who receive this training and We find that for them it is very important because of the possibility they are given to provide a basic service in these situations and to be able to contribute to the eradication of diseases such as malaria, dengue and others.
