A total of 78 municipalities in the department were selected to receive aid.

Tunja, May 23, 2024. (UACP). In response to public calamity No. 100 of January 18, 2024, the Secretary of Agriculture of Boyacá, in coordination with the Management for the Regions, the Departmental Unit for Disaster Risk Management and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , socialized the attention strategies for the municipalities affected by the El Niño Phenomenon.

During the meeting, the mayors recognized the work carried out by the Secretary of Agriculture of Boyacá within the framework of the national declaration of this climate crisis, through the consolidation of the information reported by the municipalities in the event of the eventualities presented, after validation by the Municipal Committees. for Disaster Risk Management, as well as the diligent work carried out before national entities.

Likewise, the departmental agroclimatic variability attention team carried out reports, monitoring and management at the National Unified Command Post for the agricultural sector, pending the projection of the specific action plan.

On the other hand, the Agricultural Inputs Fund (FAIA) program was expanded for the 78 affected municipalities, bringing closer the possibility of accessing inputs with the subsidies established in the project. (End/Laura Teresa Hernández Cristancho)
