The May Revolution and the role of young patriots

The May Revolution was a set of events that took place in the city of Buenos Aires, capital of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, between May 18 and 25, 1810. An autonomous government was established there that marked the beginning of the construction of the Argentine State and laid the foundations for the fight for the independence of the American colonies from Spanish rule. It was a fundamental milestone in the history of our country, paving the way for the formation of a free and sovereign nation.

In this revolutionary process, young people played a crucial role, contributing their passion and unwavering commitment to social and political transformations. During that night, the legacy of more than two centuries will reach everyone present through the energy of our young people, the strength of their voices, the magic of their dance and the clamor of their words. The representatives of the new generations of artists from our Tucumán will gather on that stage to light in the hearts, from the four cardinal points of our country, the immortal proclamation: To the great Argentine people, Cheers!
