Expansion of Primary School No. 388 “Juan Galo Lavalle” was inaugurated – Ministry of Education

“It is an honor to accompany the educational community, a long-awaited work and the enthusiasm of boys and girls on this day,” said the Minister of Education, Miriam Serrano.

The legendary capital educational establishment looks renovated inside. A covered sports center and new spaces for pedagogical activities are part of the work at the “Juan Galo Lavalle” school.

In this context, boys and girls ran around the courtyard announcing the new works that the school would premiere.

The opening ceremony began with the arrival of the authorities led by the Minister of Education Miriam Serrano, along with her cabinet and the CABEI (Central American Bank for Economic Integration) delegation.

First, the unveiling of the memorial plaque took place, then the ribbon cutting and finally the protocol act and allusive words, more artistic numbers, all in the brand new sports center, with the presence of students and parents.

During the event, the Minister of Education, Miriam Serrano, said that “it is a work long awaited by the educational community and today, the children entertained us with their enthusiasm that fills us with joy,” she said.

In another order, he explained that the work had a budget of more than 70 million pesos, included within the PROMACE program, with CABEI funds that are paid with Cauchari’s income.

Likewise, he anticipated that yesterday works were put out to tender to bring these works to schools in the interior, with the beneficiaries being High School No. 8 of Salvador Mazza and School No. 338 “Carlos Alvarado.”

“We are going to continue with the renovations of schools throughout the Province,” added Serrano.

“I want to thank Governor Carlos Sadir for his dedication to Education,” he reflected in another passage of his speech. He concluded by stating that “the School has to be the safe place of learning, which is a great challenge.”

Silvina Cruz, director of the establishment, commented that “we are going to enjoy the new spaces such as the covered sports center and four classrooms for pedagogical purposes.”

Enthusiastic, she continued, “it is a long-awaited work, today it is a reality” and concluded by expressing that “today is a day of joy for everyone.”

Also, the parents of the establishment joined in the emotion of the moment, “how good that the government supports education,” they highlighted.

The event was accompanied by the capital’s mayor, Raúl Jorge, who, when speaking, echoed the joy that overwhelmed the school. There was also the cabinet of the Ministry of Education and the representatives of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, provincial deputies, standard bearers of educational establishments and the educational community.

Magalid Cutina, CABEI executive in Argentina, said that the commitment and dedication is evident in the different expansion and renovation works that were visited: “It is very exciting to see the children and their teachers enjoy new facilities.”

“Our commitment is to education and we hope to continue working together on new works,” he concluded.

In the afternoon, the CABEI delegation and officials from the Ministry of Education visited School No. 312 “Water and Electric Energy”, where expansions and renovations were also carried out.

A covered sports center with a stage, dining room, kitchen, new bathrooms and other arrangements made up the completed work that was toured by the delegation of officials and directors of the Bank.
