According to the authorities, the incident occurred in the Altos de Misael sector, when a fight broke out between a couple and one of the people pulled out a knife. In the midst of an attempt by the mother of one of those involved to protect him from the attack with a knife, she was attacked by the aggressor’s dog. The animal pounced on her, causing serious bites on her limbs and other parts of her body, and she was also injured on her face, especially on her nose.

The 49-year-old woman, identified as Kelly Rojas, was rushed to Manuel Uribe Ángel while a group of police from the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Group arrived at the scene. facts to seize the dog which turned out to be still an eight-month-old puppy. The animal was left at the disposal of the Envigado Environment Secretariat.

In addition, they must carry their vaccination card up to date, put a microchip on them and register them in a census that must be enabled in each municipality by the mayor’s office.

Furthermore, the owner of a dog of these breeds is obliged to acquire a non-contractual civil liability policy, and whoever refrains from acquiring them will have to bear all the expenses to fully compensate those affected for the damages caused by the dog. In cases of non-compliance with the obligations established by Law 746 of 2002, they may have implications in criminal law in cases of aggression. The owners could face criminal charges for negligent injury or manslaughter.
