As part of the process of preparing the Construction and Demolition Waste Utilization Scheme (RCD), more than 200 ‘chaneros’ subscribed to the Special Administrative Unit of Public Services (Uaesp), learned in detail the new operating protocol of the Transfer Station (EDT) of Carrera 50. The socialization day had the Mariano Ramos Coliseum as its epicenter.

For Camilo Murcia, technical director of the Uaespthe ‘chaneros’ They are fundamental actors in the proper management of CDW in Santiago de Cali. “In these four years of the administration of Mayor Alejandro Eder, we will work on the implementation of a model that makes use of this waste and we will only achieve this with his hand”the official told them.

The District Mobility Secretariat also participated in this day with the presence of the body of traffic agents, remembering the basic rules that must be complied with. ‘chaneros’ in their daily actions.

In turn, personnel from the Administrative Department of Environmental Management (Dagma), focused on generating environmental awareness, taking into account the proper management and disposal of Construction and Demolition Waste.

For their part, a group of officials from the Special Administrative Unit of Public Services updated the database of the more than 200 ‘chaneros’ that will integrate the scheme for the use of RCD.

“This type of space that links communities is important and very pertinent, in this case the group of ‘chaneros’. It also allows us to generate an environment of dialogue in which certain doubts we have can be resolved in order to provide an excellent service to the community.”said Uriel Ariza, manager of the Cali Eco-environmental Association.
