Last Saturday, February 24, the accordion player, composer and singer Omar Geles performed for the last time in Boyacá, who was buried yesterday in Valledupar.
That day at the Cómbita festivities he was the star, he sang for a little more than two hours starting at 10:00 at night with the square full and surprised the mayor Juan Carlos Sarmiento, with his simplicity and good energy. “Instead of asking for a police operation so that people would not approach him, he arrived and began to greet the public and take photos with them, give autographs, and give hugs and kisses to those in attendance.”
The president assures that he sang the songs that were asked of him, that he gave himself completely to the public and that he ended up very grateful.
The mayor of Cómbita even remembers that Omar wanted to have a few drinks that night and share with a group of mayors, but that he had a last-minute trip for Sunday and that as soon as he got off the stage, he had to return to Bogotá, but not before saying goodbye to the crowd that approached him.
Have a good trip Omar Geles, have a good trip and thank you for everything!
