Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, president of the Republic of Cuba, arrived at the Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) Emilio Herriman Pérez, from Yara, a few minutes ago to verify the work experiences.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, accompanies the Cuban leader on the tour of the unit, located in Las Mochas, belonging to the Antonio Maceo Agroindustrial Base Business Unit, in the Cayo Redondo Popular Council.

The cooperative is dedicated to rice production, although it also raises livestock and has areas for various crops.

The CCS has a total of 1,235.43 hectares, of which 1,100.35 hectares are dedicated to rice, mainly LP5, with a yield of 2.8 tons per hectare.

The unit has 286 producers, 65 owners, 153 usufructuaries, 48 ​​family members and 23 workers associated for collective benefit.

Radio Bayamo reports that Julio Sánchez Vázquez, president of the cooperative, explained that through linking with producers of biostimulant substances they have been able to solve the technological package to improve performance.

They also participate in the visit Yudelkis Ortiz Barceló, first secretary of the Party in the Granma province, Governor Yanetsy Terry Gutiérrez and political and government leaders of that municipality, states the Facebook page of the local station.
