A sector of the Libertad neighborhood, in Santo Tomé, was the scene of a violent event that ended with a young man injured by a firearm.
Ignacio (19) was riding his motorcycle when suddenly two subjects intercepted him at the intersection of Necochea and Fidel Valdéz in the neighboring city.
One of the criminals brought out a firearm and under threats ordered the young man to hand over his motorcycle. But far from obeying, the victim resisted the robbery.
What followed was a struggle during which the robber fired a shot that hit the motorcyclist in his left hand. However, despite being injured, the young man put the criminals to flight who escaped without achieving their objective.
Shortly after, the injured man was transferred to the Samco de Santo Tomé where, after performing some treatments, he was transferred to the Cullen hospital. In said hospital it was reported that the projectile was lodged in his hand, which is why he will undergo surgery to remove it.
“The truth is that in those moments one reacts with instinct. When I saw the gun I grabbed his hand but he still shot. I defended myself because the motorcycle is my work tool,” he said.
