Di Stefano highlighted the progress in the Legislature to assist vulnerable sectors

The provincial deputy and president of the UCR Block, Silvana Di Stefano, highlighted the work of the Legislature in the approval of two laws that will help improve the situation of the most vulnerable sectors of society, through the creation of the Social Cabinet , and the Economic and Social Council of the province of Santa Fe.

“We have a governor busy providing solutions, with a great team, thinking every day about how to improve the lives of the inhabitants of this province and making it clear that the State is where it needs to be, doing what it needs to do and more. even when it comes to guaranteeing rights,” said Di Stefano.

It is worth mentioning that one of the goals of the Social Cabinet is to contribute to social integration and inclusion, eradicate extreme poverty and improve the living conditions of the population so that each person develops capabilities that allow them to fully exercise citizenship. This is a state policy of the provincial government that was already underway and, thanks to the definitive sanction, from now on the following administrations must implement it.

In the case of the Economic and Social Council, it is a multi-stakeholder and consultative space, whose mission is to consolidate a more productive and inclusive province of Santa Fe.

Finally, the UCR legislator also celebrated the final sanction of the Lower House of the reform of the Organic Law of the Judiciary and Civil and Commercial Procedural Code of the province of Santa Fe, as well as the progress regarding the changes of article 214 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

At the same time, he congratulated the inhabitants of Villa Minetti, Helvecia and Alvear, the three towns that were transformed into cities yesterday. “It is a new institutional step that will result in economic growth and development of these urban centers,” Di Stefano anticipated.

May what we contribute return

In the same session, the radical deputy expressed her concern about the decision of the national government to significantly increase the amount of subsidies allocated to passenger transport services in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires, increasing the inequality gap with the rest of the country.

“We are not asking for a favor, but for the return of what we, the citizens of the province of Santa Fe, contribute in taxes,” said Di Stefano. The legislator considered that “there is enormous inequality generated during the Government of Alberto Fernández that is sustained in the administration with this absurd decision to benefit exclusively the AMBA, to the detriment of Argentines who live in other provinces.”

In the same sense, the legislator reported that “even in these unequal conditions, the provincial government announced that it will maintain the benefit of the Educational Ticket in Santa Fe, which has so far involved nearly 4.6 billion pesos so that 300 thousand students, teachers and assistants schoolchildren from all levels of our province come to our schools.”

“We will maintain the claim for what corresponds to us until the decision is reversed,” said Di Stefano.
