Cologne, Germany, June 25 (Prensa Latina) The teams of England and Slovenia tied 0-0 here today and celebrated their place in the round of 16 in the German Football Euro Cup 2024.
The tie left the English as first in group C, as expected, but few thought that the Slovenians would be second.
At the Allianz Arena stadium, Denmark and Serbia also tied 0-0, a result that leaves the Danes third with three points and the Serbians eliminated, with one less unit.
The Red Dynamite had a chance to open the scoring through Christian Eriksen in the 22nd minute with a long shot that was stopped by Predrag Rajkovic and a goal disallowed to Jonas Wind due to a previous foul on the Balkan team’s goalkeeper.
This same Tuesday, Austria, France and the Netherlands also guaranteed their presence in the round of 16, for key D.
