This plan, which will be submitted to the legislative body for consideration, aims to establish the foundations for the sustainable growth and development of the city.

In a subsequent press conference, Mayor González explained the importance of the plan: “This ordinance is a turning point for the growth of San Javier. We need to regulate the approval of subdivisions, land use and other activities that impact the short, medium and long term. It is crucial that councilors, who represent all citizens, internalize and understand the implications of this legislation.”

González explained that the plan seeks to organize the future growth of the city, delimiting the building, productive and expansion areas, especially towards the north. “Today we cannot approve new subdivisions without this plan, because the province requires this legislation. “It is an essential tool for planning urban and rural expansion, and for ensuring that new developments have access to basic services such as water, sewer and garbage collection,” he added.

Secretary Bugnon highlighted that the plan is the result of two years of work by the Municipal Executive and stressed the importance of the participation of the Deliberative Council in its discussion. “This regulatory plan is essential to agree on how and where the city will grow. In addition, we plan to call a community assembly so that the population can also be part of the process,” he stated.

Councilor Adrián Simil, with previous experience as mayor, emphasized the urgent need to approve the plan to unblock stalled projects and facilitate access to land suitable for housing credit plans. “The plan addresses everything from the location of industries and workshops to the regulation of new lots and urbanization needs, considering the current situation of vacant lands and flood zones,” commented Simil.

The president of the Deliberative Council, Enzo Zimmermann, highlighted the challenge of balancing housing, economic and productive interests in the growth of San Javier. “Convening a citizen assembly to listen to all the actors involved, including agricultural producers and the population in general, is essential to advance this project in a consensual manner,” Zimmermann concluded.

“The Territorial Planning Plan of San Javier marks a milestone in the urban and rural planning of the city, and its approval is expected to promote orderly and sustainable growth in the coming years,” concluded the Mayor.
