This housing project, which has a cost of seven billion pesos, will be carried out on a lot that belongs to the Mayor’s Office of Ibagué and that already has public services and sewage, said Congresswoman Olga B. González.

The Minister of Housing, Catalina Velasco, will visit Ibagué, between June 27 and 28, to begin the execution. This will be a nationwide pilot and will be carried out in collaboration with the community, where each of the families will receive 35 million pesos for construction.

Progress for the Ibagué complementary aqueduct

Olga Beatriz González manages the housing project for the Hato de la Virgen and more resources for the Ibagué complete aqueduct.

“This year we will be able to complete the fifth phase of the Ibagué complementary aqueduct, which currently has the approved technical preconception to later make it viable. A plant will soon be inaugurated so that 14 community aqueducts will have drinking water. “The city is preparing to resolve this water issue, which is very serious.”said the liberal leader.

Work will also include modernizing aging sewage networks and preserving water sources through reforestation and other conservation actions.

Two reserve tanks, one in the south and another near the Prosecutor’s Office, will join a third tank in El Salado, which will improve the supply of drinking water in the communes: Ocho, Nueve and Diez, concludes a statement from Representative Olga Beatriz González.

It is worth mentioning that the liberal leader Olga B. González is part of the political group that supports Mayor Johana Aranda and even openly campaigned for her during the elections.
