Among the patients lying on the cold floor are children, pregnant women and older adults.

The complaint was made by the same patients, who through different social networksshared the videos and images of the situation that patients face in the clinic facilities.

The patients improvised by throwing blankets and sheets on the floor so they could spend the night in the center’s facilities. doctor.

One of the first people to speak out was Congresswoman Rosa Jiménez, who described as “Inadmissible that we continue to face situations of dehumanization and negligence in the health system. Since midnight, at the Cehoca Clinic in Santa Marta, a minor has been lying on the floor waiting for medical attention.”

Likewise, he added that this medical center has had several interventions by the authorities, due to temporary closures of services and other types of sanctions, so it is striking that this continues to occur.

For its part, the district authority assured from the X social network that, “after the complaint posted on our social networks, regarding patients without a stretcher, using the land, we were present at the Cehoca clinic in order to verify the quality of care in the Facilities in general.”

Meanwhile, the Health Secretary of Santa Marta, announced that it is investigating the case in order to determine the responsibilities of the clinic administrators in this unfortunate situation.
