In advance of the May Revolution Day, the governor, Marcelo Orrego, was present at the Patria Gala on May 25. At the Bicentenario Theater, the show “Mujeres Argentinas” was presented and, for the first time, three presentations were held, thanks to the fact that the people of San Juan sold out the seats.

In the first seats, the first provincial leader was seen, along with the vice-governor of the province, Fabián Martín, the mayor of Capital, Susana Laciar, the minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Guido Romero, minister of Economy, Finance and Treasury , Roberto Gutiérrez; Government Minister, Laura Palma; Minister of Health, Amilcar Dobladez; Minister of Family and Human Development, Carlos Platero; Minister of Education, Silvia Fuentes; Minister of Production, Labor and Innovation, Gustavo Fernández; Minister of Infrastructure, Water and Energy, Fernando Perea; Minister of Mining, Juan Pablo Perea Fontivero; Secretary of State for Security and Public Order, Gustavo Sánchez; Secretary General of the Interior, Emilio Achem; Secretary of State for the Environment and Sustainable Development, Federico Ríos Yáñez, National and Provincial legislators, heads of the Armed Forces, rectors of the National University of San Juan and the Catholic University of Cuyo, among others.

Prior to the gala, Governor Orrego spoke with the media and assured that “we are on the eve of May 25, which is a day that marked all Argentines. It was a day in which freedom was shouted.”

Regarding the work, Orrego assured that “Argentine Women with artists who are clearly from San Juan, we have a lot of talent. The actors and artists we have are extraordinary. Wherever our artists went, they represented us very well.”

Finally, he said that he took his first gala as governor with responsibility and humility. “It is a day that must serve to remember the values ​​of what happened on May 25. We have to value those men and women who fought so that independence can be declared and today we Argentines can enjoy our homeland.” .

More than three thousand people had the privilege of enjoying “Mujeres Argentinas”, an iconic work by Ariel Ramírez and Félix Luna. This staging, directed by Alexis Mirenda, featured a cast of talented dancers and a team of stage professionals who provided a unique experience. The participation of La Camerata and the outstanding voices of Eli Domínguez and Melisa Quiroga added a special touch to the evening, which culminated with the interpretation of the Argentine National Anthem by Laura Costanza.

Due to the success of the functions scheduled for May 23 and 24, the Provincial Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, decided to add an unprecedented third function that took place last Wednesday, May 22.

The public of San Juan filled the main hall of the Bicentennial Theater during the three days. “Mujeres Argentinas” not only celebrated the country’s rich history and culture, but also paid tribute to the women who left an indelible mark on the history of this country.
