The Government of La Rioja has announced the Extraordinary Awards for Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate of La Rioja to officially recognize the merits based on the effort and work of the students who have completed these studies with excellent academic performance, according to both calls. recently published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja (BOR)

For ESO students, two extraordinary prizes of 612.25 euros each and two second prizes have been announced, with a maximum amount of 255.11 euros each. Students from public centers in La Rioja who have completed their ESO studies in Spanish educational centers and completed them in centers in the Community in the current 2023/2024 academic year will be eligible for these awards.

The average grade of the final grades in the subjects of the four courses must be equal to or greater than 8.75 and a final grade of outstanding in the last year in each of the subjects subject to the test: Spanish Language and Literature; Mathematics A or B; and First Foreign Language.

The selection tests will be held on September 5 at the IES La Laboral in Lardero and the awarding of prizes will be published on the virtual bulletin board of the Government of La Rioja, with the provisional and definitive proposals.

On the other hand, the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards corresponding to this course consist of two awards, with a maximum amount of 612.25 euros each. Students from public educational centers in La Rioja who have completed their Baccalaureate studies in this 2023/2024 academic year with an average of the final grades in the subjects of the two courses, of any of the Baccalaureate modalities, equal or higher, may participate. at 8.75.

The selection tests for these awards will be held on June 19 at the IES Batalla de Clavijo in Logroño and will consist of a critical commentary on a philosophical text; analysis of a text in the Spanish language and response to questions of linguistic and literary content that arise; and analysis of a text in the first foreign language.

Students who wish to apply for these awards may submit applications at the center where the academic record is located until May 31, for Baccalaureate students, and until July 12, for ESO students.
