Despite the rain, the search for the German woman lost on the hill resumes

It began to clear on the morning of this Saturday, May 25, and immediately the search for Julia Horn, the German lost on Cerro Tres Marías, was reactivated. The operation had to be suspended during the night of Friday due to the lack of light and the intense cold. In any case, a minimum guard was established located in a tent erected by the San Juan Police.

For the search that began this rainy morning, the Army, Infantry, Firefighters, the Federal Police with trained dogs and other members of the San Juan Police and the Provincial Penitentiary Service joined in. HUARPE DIARY is at the scene and was able to verify that around 35 of the young woman’s clothes have been made available so that the dogs can sniff and track her.

The operation resumed despite the rain

Crucial hours are spent finding the missing young woman. Although the first day ended with negative results regarding her whereabouts, the rescuers obtained two key clues that will allow them to have a starting point for today’s day.

Key clues

The starting point for the raking is the trail that a dog detected on the hill and which ends in an area of trail that has the shape of a zeta. On the other hand, there are also drone images captured by Walter Castro and Matías Coria, which show the presence of a bottle, a cap and a jacket or sleeping bag on a slope.

Who is Julia Horn?

The German Julia Horne was doing an exchange volunteer for the Youth for Understanding Foundation (YFU). Previously, she had a tour of other provinces until reaching San Juan. She was in Santiago del Estero, as well as in Catamarca, where she was even chatting with the governor of the place, Raúl Jalil, with whom she took a photo.

She arrived in Argentina on April 18 and visited San Juan on May 14. After spending a few days in the province, giving talks about the foundation, she decided to go out to enjoy the San Juan landscape and it was there that she lost track of him.
