“Happy to return to the town of Rabolargo, together with the mayor of Cereté, Said Bitar, to begin a road project that will improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. A couple of years ago I was at the Peasant Festival and on that occasion, the parents told me about the difficulties that the children who study at the José Antonio Galán school and the university students face in leaving Rabolargo due to the poor state of the via. For this reason, today I am excited to return and announce the beginning of this work that will connect this population with the municipalities of Ciénaga de Oro and San Pelayo, benefiting more than 10 thousand inhabitants of this area with an agricultural vocation,” said the governor before the inhabitants of the Ceretean district.

The governor pointed out that the departments of Córdoba and Cereté are rural, where more than 90% of their land has an agricultural vocation. “Today, the message is clear: we must return importance to the rural area of Córdoba. We are a department with a rural vocation, but the main social gaps are in the rural area. We have a commitment to the rural area of the department, to the municipality of Cereté and to the township of Rabolargo,” the president emphasized.

Governor Zuleta Bechara highlighted that since his arrival to the governorship, work has been done to review all the works in progress. “The government of the department of Córdoba is focused on each expense having a positive impact in two aspects: first, that it improves the quality of life of the people, and second, that it improves the competitiveness of the territory,” said Zuleta Bechara.

The project that connects the Chimborazo village with the El Cedro village of the municipality of Cereté, has a length of 761 linear meters. The total investment is more than 6,000 million pesos, improving the quality of life of more than 10,000 people and the production of more than 5,000 hectares of corn and cotton.
