The mayor, Rosario Romero, led this Saturday morning the act of raising the National Pavilion in Plaza 1° de Mayo in Paraná, within the framework of the 214th anniversary of the May Revolution. The celebrations for the anniversary will continue at 9 at the Metropolitan Cathedral and at 10:30 with the civil-military parade.

The event was also attended by Vice Mayor David Cáceres and members of the Deliberative Council, as well as the provincial Legislature. Likewise, Malvinas veterans, members of the Entre Ríos Police and the Army attended with their flags. During the raising of the flag, the Entre Ríos Police band sang the verses of the National Anthem.

On the other hand, at 9 o’clock the Te Deum began led by the governor, Rogelio Frigerio, who attended in the company of his wife and the vice governor, Alicia Aluani. The mayor of Paraná, Rosario Romero, was also present, along with the vice mayor, David Cáceres. Also attending the ceremony, chaired by Archbishop Juan Alberto Puiggari, was the Minister of Security, Néstor Roncaglia; the head of the CGE, Alicia Fregonese; the Minister of Health, Guillermo Grieve, and the Minister of Human Development, Verónica Berisso.

How will activities continue?

Starting at 10:30 the civic-military parade will begin on Avenida Ejercito, between General Galán and General Alvarado. Municipal and provincial authorities, Municipal Sports Schools in the area, delegations of clubs, primary and secondary schools, communities, groups of explorers and scouts of Paraná, Volunteer Firefighters and representatives of the armed and security forces, War Veterans of Paraná will participate. Malvinas and the Music Bands of the different forces, among other entities.

During the activity, vehicular traffic will be interrupted on Avenida Ejercito, between Galán and Alvarado, from approximately 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For this reason, parking in the area will be restricted on Saturday, May 25, between 0 a.m. and 2 p.m. Residents are recommended to drive with caution.
