The Barter 2024 (XIV ‘Ciudad de Calahorra’ Collecting Fair) organized by the El Lazarillo club was held on Saturday and this Sunday in the pavilion of the Quintiliano de Calahorra school and has awarded various prizes.
The best adult collection was ‘Unique in the world’ about Athlétic de Bilbao) by Idoia Sáenz. In second place was ‘Machacando’ (almiceres) by Loli Serrano and in third place was ‘Porcelain face’ (dolls) by Fabiola Tejero. In the three cases they added up to 69 points out of a maximum of 80 and the order was decided by the president’s casting vote.
In youth, the first three places went to ‘The galaxy of Superthings’ by Héctor Argáiz, which had 19 votes out of a possible 24, ‘I can be’ (Mundo Barbie) by Candela Velasco with 17 supports and ‘Greats of the past’ (giants of rubber) by Francisco Garrido that received 5 votes, the same as the fourth placed, ‘Rubikando’ by Naia Martínez.
The Luis Martínez trophy was awarded to the collection ‘Dando Brea desde Vitoria-Gasteiz’ (about the group Soziedad Alkohólika) by Yolanda Blanco and the special mention Paco Grande trophy was awarded to ‘I love this game’ (3D NBA lamps) by Fernando Barco .
The popular vote decided to choose ‘Calahorra city’ as the best proposal, a railway diorama and Lego scenarios, made by José Carlos Gurrea and Juan José Lázaro.
In the showcase contest in which there were fourteen exhibitions spread throughout the city, the jury rated the public works machinery installed in the Rodríguez Drug Store with 136 points out of a possible 150 as the best collection. The most voted with 87 points out of 100 was Coca-Cola at the Sagar Hardware Store.
El Lazarillo encourages collectors from Calahorra and other places to participate in future editions to strengthen the fair and maintain it over time.
