The sporting event is organized by the board of directors of the Coyhaique Campus Club, supported by the Coyhaique Sports Corporation and various associated brands.

The day was lived with four heart-stopping matches, where the little ones from Campus Coyhaique faced off in the 2014 series, against the Colo Colo School of Coyhaique, 2015, against the Universidad Católica Training School of the commune, 2016, against Deportivo Vialidad.

In the last Campus Coyhaique game, those who shone were Constanza and Aylin, who were the scorers. Little Aylin was the outstanding player of the match. In addition, the body of referees that directed the matches included two young women aspiring to be judges of regional soccer matches.

In addition, Cerro Porteño in Puerto Aysén faced off against the Río Claro Training School in Coyhaique. Meanwhile, the Río Ibáñez Sports Club will join on the next date of the championship. The authorities spoke with Aysén Regional Newspaperregarding the instance.

The mayor of the commune, Carlos Gatica, highlighted the entity that promotes sports and healthy living from an early age.

“It is a nice instance, this intercommunal helps both sports and the strengthening of soccer in boys and girls. The most powerful weapon in the prevention of alcohol and drug consumption is to have activities in which children can recreate. As a municipality we continue to support the development of these instances,” said the authority.

Decentralize sport

For his part, the director(s) of the Aysén National Sports Institute (IND), Javier Medida, stressed the importance of generating these sports events in other places in the Aysén Region.

“For us it is important to generate events like these, especially for the youngest children and to decentralize the sport that takes place in the city of Coyhaique, it is a great idea to bring these events to towns like Valle Simpson,” said Medina.

The next date of the “Intercomunal Kids Coyhaique 2024” will be played this Saturday, June 8, in the Valle Simpson School gym. The championship will be played every Saturday in June, July and will end in August.
