The Colombian Air Force and Codaltec create a mobile anti-drone system

The Colombian Air Force (FAC) and the High Technology Defense Corporation (Codaltec) have developed a mobile anti-drone system that is already being deployed in the Air Combat Command No.2 (GSDB No.25) in the central east of the country.

The system is made up of the rifle Drone jammerarranged on a mobile metal mount welded in the cabin of a type truck. 4×4 toyota Hilux 2.4l and that allows the placement of the anti-drone rifle, as well as its rotation at 360 degrees and its elevation up to 90 degrees, thus facilitating its use by the operator.

In this way, it makes it possible to block drones as a result of its capabilities to inhibit both GPS, Glonass and Wiffi signals, leaving it without connection with its operator.

It should be noted that the capabilities and effectiveness of the new system (already tested) will allow it to be deployed by the Base Security and Defense Groups, as well as in facilities and bases of the Armed Forces as a whole.

Up to one kilometer range

This system, which was developed in 2021, works on the WIFI 2.4 GHz, WIFI 5.8 GHz, GPS L1 and GPS L2 frequencies, and can operate integrally with the radar. sinder (also from Codaltec) and with inhibition ranges of up to 1,000 meters, thanks to its ultra-wideband (UWB) directional antennas.
