In fact, the average (January-April), in reference to the growth in frequencies, is 11 percent. This growth from Colombia is directed to: the Caribbean and Central America, 15%; South America, 14%; North America, 13% and Europe 11%.

Emirates will cover the Dubai (United Arab Emirates) route with Bogotá daily, with a stopover in Miami (USA), a frequency of seven weekly flights and a capacity of 354 passengers on each flight.

More flights

On the other hand, and due to the departure of Viva and Ultra Air from the air market in Colombia, that year the airline JetSmart, a member of Indigo Partners, began to operate domestic flights with seven routes between the main cities of Colombia.

Likewise, Avianca, the company with the largest number of routes in Colombia and with more than 50% of slots (departure and landing permits) at El Dorado airport, announced that this year they will be opening 15 national and international flight routes.

In this sense, they have already opened the Bogotá-Caracas route and the flight between the Colombian capital and Montreal, in Canada.

At the same time, Latam Airlines Colombia, an airline that has 21.49% of the slots, reported that it already operates flights from Bogotá to Ibagué, with seven weekly frequencies with Airbus 320 aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers, which is expected to have with an offer of more than 9,000 seats per month to this destination.

On the other hand, there is the Bogotá-Madrid route, which will be carried out on Boeing 787-8 aircraft, with capacity for 247 passengers, in order to complete 29 national and 11 international routes and increase its offer of seats by 12% and mobilize more than 12 million people this year.
