The authorities found an underground cove, in the rural area of ​​Necoclí, Urabá, Antioquia, where there was an arsenal that apparently belongs to men from the Gulf Clan who operate in this area of ​​the country.

Brigadier General Arnulfo Rosemberg Novoa Piñeros, commander of Police Region Number 6, confirmed that the uniformed officers made the discovery in the development of Operation Agamemnon, which seeks to weaken the actions of that organized armed structure.

The procedure was carried out in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office and United States intelligence agencies, according to the commander. It was thus that after an investigation they were able to find the place where they unearthed the cove with 8 rifles, 3 pistols, a revolver, a shotgun and 10 suppliers.

But in addition to seizing the multiple weapons of the illegal armed group, the authorities also found underground 49 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and uniforms for the exclusive use of the military forces.

With the seizure of the substance, the illegal income from the Gulf Clan in this area of ​​Urabá Antioquia, which, due to its strategic location, makes it easier to transport drugs abroad.

For now, the authorities did not provide a report related to people captured for these events, but they indicated that Control actions are maintained in Urabá Antioquia and other places in the department and the country where there is a presence of the Gulf Clan, that not only has an action to profit from illegal income, but also to affect the integrity and tranquility of the civilian population.
