Government announces that it will invest more than one billion pesos to prevent emergencies on the road to Llano

The Minister of Transportation, William Camargo, announced a total investment of more than one billion pesos to renew the road to the Llano, in points where traffic problems or damages have occurred. This investment will be coordinated together with the government of Meta and Cundinamarca.

During a tour of the area, Minister Camargo and his team showed several critical points on the Sisga transversal and the road to Llano, that require immediate attention.

The minister also reported on a budget allocation of 284,000 million pesos to address 16 critical points on these roads. The funds will be used to carry out studies, designs and construction, in those sections where the corresponding designs already exist.

«It is expected that the construction processes will begin in the last quarter of this year, as the closures of the missing designs are updated and developed. This allocation is part of the commitment agreed with the departments of Meta and Cundinamarca and it is expected that the resources allocated to investment in the stabilization of this corridor will reach a total estimate of 1.2 to 1.3 billion pesos,” he said.

With these investments and measures taken, the National Government hopes that a significant improvement is achieved in the infrastructure of the road to Llanoproviding greater safety and fluidity in traffic for the users of this important road.
