San Lorenzo is still unable to win: it fell to Sarmiento in Bajo Flores

San Lorenzo continued its bad football moment tonight after being defeated at home by 1-0 against Sarmiento de Junín, within the framework of the fourth date of the 2024 Professional Football League, and is still unable to win in the tournament.

In the match played at the Pedro Bidegain stadium in Bajo Flores, Manuel García scored the only goal of the match 25 minutes into the second half.

With this result, Leandro Atilio Romagnoli’s team suffered its second defeat in the tournament and is still unable to add three points. For the fifth date, the “Ciclón” will visit Unión de Santa Fe on Saturday, June 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the 15 de Abril stadium.

For their part, Israel Damonte’s team achieved their first victory in the competition and have four points in the tournament. For the fifth date of the Professional Football League, they will receive Estudiantes de La Plata on Thursday the 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Eva Perón stadium in Junín.

In the first half, San Lorenzo was vastly superior to Sarmiento and had clear chances of opening the scoring through the feet of Cristián Ferreira, Malcom Braida and Cristián Tarragona but, due to the intervention of goalkeeper Lucas Acosta or flaws in the definition, the “Ciclón” couldn’t break zero.

In the second stage, Romagnoli’s team had a first approach with a free kick from Ferreira that Acosta contained but the “Green” settled in and reached the goal that defined the game after 25 minutes of play.

From a goal kick by Acosta, the ball reached Valentín Burgoa who overflowed on the left and put the kick to the far post for Sergio Quiroga who served it in the middle for Manuel García, who first placed the ball close to the near post. , without the possibility of Mateo Clemente being able to clear it.
