The authorities are trying to establish the facts surrounding the attacks on street residents in the city of Cúcuta, where deaths against this population have increased so far this year.
The most recent case occurred in the upper part of the María Paz neighborhood where a man living in a non-regional residence was attacked by hitmen on several occasions according to the report provided by the authorities.
Preliminary information warns that several vanillas were found at the scene and that the victim’s body showed several impacts with a 9-millimeter weapon. For now, the identity of the murdered person is unknown, as are the perpetrators of the violent act.
The authorities on several occasions have warned about the alleged instrumentalization that is being generated with street dwellers for illicit activities such as micro-trafficking in the city of Cúcuta and the metropolitan area.
So far this year, more than eight homeless people have been murdered in violent events in the city of Cúcuta.
