The Government of Honduras denounced the arbitrary inclusion of Cuba in the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism prepared by the United States (USA).

Through X, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, thanked the Central American country for its firm position, under the presidency of Xiomara Castro.

“The Government of Honduras denounced the arbitrary inclusion of #Cuba on the spurious list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism drawn up by the US. We appreciate the firm position of the Honduran Government, under the presidency of @XiomaraCastroZ.”

The Honduran Government reiterates its rejection of unilateral designations that go against the principles of sovereign equality of States, the prohibition of intervening in the internal affairs of each country and the principle of peaceful resolution of international disputes, said the statement issued. by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Honduras expressed its solidarity with the Cuban Government and condemned the more than six decades of economic, commercial and financial blockade suffered by the people of the island.

In the text, a call is made to the United States for the sake of coexistence in harmony between the nations that are part of the international community so that the Republic of Cuba is removed from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
