A no small fact is the reason why the two best-selling models so far this year, Fiat Cronos and Peugeot 208, sold so little in the month that ends. Throughout May, the Fiat factory in Córdoba, where the Cronos is produced, was closed: with the exception of a few days at the beginning of the month, the plant located in the Ferreyra neighborhood had to completely stop its activity, with the Suspended personnel due to lack of parts due to the floods affecting southern Brazil and where some of the Cronos components come from.

Something similar happened with the Peugeot-Citroen El Palomar plant, as well as Fiat owned by the international Stellantis group. The Buenos Aires factory has been stopped for two weeks due to a lack of parts for the Peugeot 208. The General Motors plant in Rosario is also stopped.
