In the city of Córdoba, a man lost his home and all his belongings in a fire that was apparently caused by his cell phone battery while it was charging. The incident occurred in the Marqués Annex neighborhood.
The homeowner woke up in the middle of the night to find his house on fire. According to him, the fire originated from short circuits generated by the cell phone charger that was plugged in. The man’s mother confirmed this version: “He told me that the charger, the cell phone battery, was. He lost everything, everything, everything,” she stated distressed.
Commissioner Daniel Heredia, of the DUAR, explained to Chain 3 the facts: “At 3:20 we went to this address, where a fire was breaking out.” He assured that thanks to the work of the local police station they managed to extinguish the flames after approximately 20 minutes.
The house was in danger of collapsing. The owner is in shock and is currently homeless, without any possessions beyond what he was wearing at the time of the incident.
