The scene of this serious emergency was the Puenteadero spa, one of the main tourist destinations.

The heavy rains that fell on the Urabá Antioquia caused the Mutatá River to rise, dragging 7 people who were enjoying a sunny afternoon there.

Three of them managed to be rescued, but a 23-year-old woman, identified as Natalia Pérez, remains missing; her 5-year-old son, Nicolás López, and, apparently, two fishermen.

“We are going to move a motor so that, after the Mutatá River descends, we will start looking for these people,” said Rubén Darío Velásquez, Secretary of Planning for Mutatá.

The department’s early warning system issued alerts immediately after the flood so that downstream communities can take the necessary precautions to avoid other emergencies.

“Four people are missing to date. All operational bodies are now present in the area, Civil Defense and Ponalsar. At this moment the search is being carried out by land and by boat.“Well, obviously to be able to expedite with all the capabilities so that we can find them as soon as possible,” said Carlos Ríos, director of Dagran.

To date, there have been 7 deaths in Antioquia due to the rainy season.
