The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the corner of Larrea and Coronel Dorrego, in the north of the city of Santa Fe. There, at the intersection of roads, the provincial government, through a private company, placed monitoring cameras to reinforce the security of the area. However, one of them was stolen a few hours after being installed, even before it could become operational on the system network.

“Technically, it is a theft from the company Nec, which was incorporating cameras based on a document that was carried out in the previous administration. They will be asked to replace them because the work was done yesterday and they were practically stolen in 24 hours,” said Alfredo Lorenzatto, technical assistant of the 911 emergency center in dialogue with the AIRE cell phone.

And he clarified: “The company had not yet made the delivery and therefore, they were not operational, that is, they were not visible on those cameras.”

Furthermore, Lorenzatto indicated that these types of cases are more common than they seem. “We have other cases in other places where cameras are often stoned and other acts of vandalism. It is not something that attracts our attention either,” he explained.
