The forecast of cyclone rains in the central-southern area

In this regard, and in conversation with Canal 24 Horas, Patricio Gonzalezagroclimatologist and academic at the Center for Research and Transfer in Irrigation and Agroclimatology, assured that the phenomenon is a “very extensive low pressure” which will cover from La Serena to Aysén.

The agroclimatologist also explained that the rains they will have critical points over four regions, especially with the intensity of the weekend’s rainfall.

“The critical points are going to be in the region of Maule, Ñuble, Biobío and part of La Araucanía (…) it is seen that today in the afternoon (Wednesday) and on Thursday morning the first pulse would arrive in the area central, with winds and a high isotherm,” he explained.
