This Thursday, June 6 The II Valledupar Book Fair begins with an agenda marked by culture, literature and history. Around 2:00 this Thursday, professionals will talk and share details about Villa Ichaan archaeological find located in the town of Valencia de Jesús, which opens a window to the pre-Hispanic past of the valley of Caesar River.

Archaeological research framed in the Ruta del Sol road project Sector 3 allows an approach to the community that inhabited the site for at least least 2,000 years between the 5th centuries BC. and XIV AD, their living conditions, their special relationship with death and artistic expressions, such as music.

As part of the team that carried out the excavation and analysis of the recovered material, Joaquín Otero, archeology coordinator at Ingetec, and Gabriel Calderónproject coordinator, will present in this space the results of more than three years of research at the site, exposing the process, challenges and characteristics of a fascinating discovery that helps understand the past of those who inhabited the region.
