Devaluation, inflation and worsening of working conditions, these are the points why workers in the province convened a plenary session this Friday to prepare a strike against the laws that will allow their rights to be overwhelmed: the Bases Law and the Emergency of the province.
The meeting will take place tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sociedad Obrera, located at 357 Balcarce Street, in the capital of Jujuy.
The intention of the plenary is to coordinate strategies to unify the workers’ struggle and thus demand labor and salary demands.
“No one is saved alone, we need the strength of the unions,” is one of the slogans raised by CEDEMS, one of the unions that will participate in the plenary session. In that same sense, the Intergremial also pointed to the presence of the public sector to avoid the Milei and Sadir adjustment and demand that salaries be comparable to the cost of the family basket.
Thus, the call aims to organize a strike on the same day that the Senate debates the Bases Law, which is expected to be next Wednesday.
In this way, in Jujuy it will be possible to replicate what will happen in the National Congress with ATE, which has already announced that that day it will carry out a 24-hour strike and will mobilize the headquarters of the Legislative Branch to make senators feel the pressure.
