Córdoba advances in international cooperation to address gender-based violence

The Deputy Governor Myrian Prunotto received this Thursday in the Legislature authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea and the Seoul Policy Center of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The delegation was in Córdoba with the purpose of advancing in an articulated manner in the monitoring and evaluation of public policies regarding addressing sexual and gender violence.

Since 2021—at the request of the UNDP—a cooperation project has been carried out for the exchange of experiences between the Republic of Korea and the Province of Córdoba. It involves the development and application of a monitoring and evaluation tool for the Comprehensive Women’s Pole (based on the Korean experience) and its modeling.

Prunotto received the delegation with a working lunch with Laura Jure, Minister of Social Development and Employment Promotion of the Province; and the Secretary of Women, Claudia Martínez.

I hope to extend and advance with this tool. The potential of monitoring is that it not only provides us with data, but also allowed us to provide a more immediate response to the recipients of all gender programs in the Province. In Córdoba, gender policies are transversal“said the lieutenant governor.

For her part, Minister Jure highlighted the power of multilateral cooperation, and addressing the problem in a comprehensive and articulated manner.

Meanwhile, UNDP members agreed on the importance of continuity and innovation, and highlighted Córdoba as a central actor to replicate the model in other provinces.
