BEIJING, June 7 (Xinhua) — Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met Friday in Beijing with the special envoy of the Cuban president and Foreign Minister of the island, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.

The construction of a China-Cuba community with a shared future has continued to deepen and solidify under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of both countries, said Li, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

After pointing out that the two countries are good friends, good comrades and good brothers who remain united in all circumstances, Li maintained that China will continue to support Cuba in the search for a socialist path that adapts to its national conditions and in defense. of their national sovereignty and dignity.

The senior Chinese official pointed out that his country is willing to deepen mutual political trust, promote practical cooperation and strengthen strategic coordination with Cuba, in order to achieve new progress in bilateral relations and between the respective parties.

For his part, Rodríguez Parrilla expressed his gratitude for China’s strong support for Cuba’s just cause and pledged that his country will firmly adhere to the “one China” principle, resolutely deepen friendship with China and resolutely defend the socialist cause. .
