The dean of the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences of the National University of Catamarca (UNCA), Engineer Carlos Savio expressed his “satisfaction and pride” for the graduation of the first architects David Macías and Lian Lobo. He said that “in that understanding, interpreting the implications and their importance, we have responded with management and commitment to the social demand of a large sector of the community that, for different and well-founded reasons, required the implementation of the Architecture degree.” .

He said that “a prior survey helped us work in all instances of the process, then endorsed and approved by the competent bodies at the national level, which began back in 2016 and culminated in 2018 when the curricular activities and pedagogical contents happily began. ”.

He stated that the creation of the degree ratifies the relevant role of the National University of Catamarca as a generator of opportunities and highlights the commitment of the management team of the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences to interact with society and respond to its needs. ”.

He stressed that since the creation of the course, “young people have the opportunity to stay and study in their province, thereby fulfilling their personal and professional training aspirations without moving away from their surroundings. Thinking about emigrating from the province to study requires a significant budget that not all families have.”

“Those who have a vocation for Architecture had to postpone their aspirations because they could not afford their studies. This offer that UNCA has been making for six years allows young people and not so young people to realize their dreams,” he stressed.

Likewise, he postulated that the graduation of the first architects “is the beginning of many more graduates who we are sure will achieve the desired title,” and assured that “on our part, we reaffirm our firm willingness to generate the best conditions in terms of human resources and “technical training as a guarantee of academic excellence, carrying out all the career updates and adapting to all the new requirements that arise.”

Macías and Lobo presented their final work, “The new rurality of the 21st century.
