A 9-year-old boy died after his house caught fire in Villa Cura Brochero

A 9-year-old boy died in a fire in Villa Cura Brocheroa town located in the San Alberto department.

According to what Commissioner Jorge Funes told Radio Verdad, the incident occurred in the victim’s home, located at 55 Poeta Agüero Street, in the Centro neighborhood.

Apparently, the use of a screen with a jug for heating would have been what started the fire in the home.

“A police officer who was circulating in that area noticed the fire situation and helped the mother, identified as Erica Soledad Ruiz, and two of her three children,” the commissioner indicated.

The fatal victim was trapped by the fire on an upper floor of the house and suffered multiple injuries. When they were able to help him, they immediately transferred him to the Mina Clavero hospital.

Despite the efforts of the medical staff to move him forward, the boy, identified as Bautista Domínguez, died this first morning this Friday as a result of the injuries suffered. He was Ruiz’s oldest son.

Firefighters, personnel from the High Risk Units Department (Duar) and the Preventive Patrol worked at the scene.
