The TC 2000 Colombia is an outstanding motorsport category, which is contested with passenger cars. It was founded on August 28, 2004 as a motor championship and evolved to become a solid sports structure.

It currently has 5 categories, which include both beginners in the world of speed and experienced masters of high-level driving, who star in local professional motorsports.
This championship allows the participation of street-type vehicles equipped with engines of up to 2,000 cc, normally aspirated and with single traction.

On this second date, the last opportunity to re-score points in the chase will be offered, and a challenging circuit has been designed for the two top categories.. The “Extrahort Hit” includes a mixed area and the motor curvewhile the academy categories will compete on the 2040-meter mixed and curved route, turning in the opposite direction.

Each category has two competitions scheduled for Sunday, June 30.

TC Junior: This category was born in 2008 and has been Pro rated by TC 2000 Colombia for two seasons. The cars have engines up to 2,000 cc, similar to those of the TC 2000 category, but with fewer modifications allowed, it is ideal for pilots in training or with less experience in high-level competitions.

Besides, The married couple Miriam Gil and Felipe Merjech are leaders of the TC Junior overall, both commanding the points accumulated in the category. As an added value, Miriam made history in the inaugural edition by becoming the first woman to win a race in the category.

TC Class A: The TC Junior was created in 2011 and features engines of up to 2,000 cc, with more modifications allowed compared to the TC Junior. This category is for drivers with intermediate experience, who are looking to compete at a higher level, but are not yet in the elite of the TC 2000.

TC Class B– This category was born in 2012 and its cars are similar to those of TC Class A, but with a focus on vehicles with fewer modifications and lower maintenance costs. The competition is ideal for pilots looking for serious competition but with lower associated costs.

The TC2000 Colombia day of June 30 will feature the presence of great female pilots such as Miriam Gil, Tere Peñuela, Tatian Pérez and Lizeth Restrepo. And among the men, the presence of Andrés Felipe Valbuena (Renault), Sebastián García (Chevrolet) and Juan Hidalgo (Honda) stands out.

Adding up the 15 trophies that will be awarded on this date, TC 2000 Colombia will reach the impressive figure of 6,195 awards given out. This number is the result of the sum of the prizes awarded in the races and in the season awards. To date, the competition has totaled 1,186 green flags, consolidating its legacy in national motorsports.

Don’t miss this exciting day of speed and competition at the Tocancipá Racetrack. Tune into Canal Capital from noon and experience the passion on wheels of TC 2000 Colombia on its second date of the season.
